On May 3, 2019, WCPC personnel attended the 1-day seminar on Legal Issues and Concern, “Itanong mo kay Hukom” with the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon. Suwerte Ligsay Ofrecio, Presiding Judge, Branch 6 of Family Court, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

 

5-day Basic Information Collection and Analysis Seminar

The Basic Information Collection and Analysis Seminar that was held at ITG, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City from June 17 to 21, 2019.

 The seminar was attended by 38 participants (30 WCPC personnel and 8 from Destiny Rescue Philippines), it aims to teach and train the participants and provide them with knowledge, attitudes and skills in intelligence, counter-intelligence and basic analysis of information to be effective and efficient in the field.

 

Round Table discussion regarding Surveillance Solution on Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC) Investigation

On April 23 - 24, 2019, WCPC Personnel led by PBGEN WILLIAM S MACAVINTA, Chief WCPC together with his staff PCOL MARIA SHEILA PORTENTO, Chief, ATIPD; and PCOL ROMEO P PERIGO, Chief, Visayas Field Unit, joined a Round Table discussion regarding Surveillance Solution on Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC) Investigation at Mercure Hotel, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

 

Prosecution Online Sexual Exploitation Training

On June 18, 2019 at about 8:00 AM personnel from WCPC-MFU namely PSMS Excel Maravilla, PSSg Joey Gumera, PSSg Fredelyn Faustino, PCpl Daisy Irish Villas and Pat Neleza Gana-ac together with PLTCOL CHRISTINE S TAN, OIC-WCPC-MFU attended the opening ceremony of Prosecution Online Sexual Exploitation Training held at Seda Abreeza Hotel, Davao City. The said training was attended by different Prosecutors from Mindanao and Visayas Regions, PNP personnel from ACG and WCPC. Ambassador Sung Kim of United States of America was the Guest of Honor and speaker of said training.

 

17-day Specialized Course on the Investigation of Crimes involving Women and Children for PNP WCPD Officers Class 07-2019

The 17-day Specialized Course on the Investigation of Crimes Involving Women and Children for PNP WCPD Officers was participated by 33 PNP Personnel held at 2nd Floor DIDM-ANNEX Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City on June 26, 2019 at 10:30 AM, with PCSUPT YOLANDA G TANIGUE (Ret) as Guest of Honor and Speaker. The aim of this course was to equip the participants with all the primary knowledge and strategies in addressing violence against women and children.

 

2-day Workshop on Strengthening Capacity and Coordination on Prevention and Investigation of Trafficking in Persons for Forced Labor

On May 27-29, 2019, PCOL GEMMA C VINLUAN, C, AVAWCD, was invited as a speaker for the 2-day Workshop on Strengthening Capacity and Coordination on Prevention and Investigation of Trafficking in Persons for forced labour and discussed the Role, mandate, evidence and investigative techniques of trafficking police at Luang Prabang Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Further, attended by PLT JOLLY P BAYLON, Team Leader, Luzon Field Unit as participant. The aims of the said workshop were to provides the participants a deeper understanding of law enforcement engagement with the criminal justice system as well as strengthening their capacities in preventing and investigating labor rights abuses and trafficking in persons to facilitate effective cooperation and coordination with other law enforcement agencies Counterparts and non-government organization.
